Dallas Shading Course
The Art Of Shading Unveiled
We do not train microblading during this course it is a shading course only. Microblading knowledge is necessary to take this course.
Please note:Shading has gained a lot of popularity in the last three years. But why?
Shading can add density, coverage, darkness, drama, and add shape to a brow that has lost a lot of hair due to alopecia. Additionally, due to current fashion trends it will bring clients to a desired outcome that is more dramatic.
But what is shading?
Shading uses a nano machine to implement tiny pigment dots superficially under the skin. The more pigment dots implemented, the more color coverage over the brow. But why is this so fantastic? Because it gives a more crisp, precise groomed look to the brow.
Shading has a lot of buzz words causing confusion over to what it really is, and to the beginner artist, it can feel quite intimidating. BrowBeat Training and Certification looks to simplify shading styles and techniques to the student making it easy to understand and learn.
There’s a lot of interest in the industry about powder brows and ombré brows. The Art of Shading Unveiled covers all the shading styles one may use throughout their semi-permanent makeup career.
What is so great about shading is that it can be implemented in any way the artist likes. Shading is layered, to create more colored density and pigment opaqueness or it can be dusted for a lighter and more subtle result. This art can be tailored to the clients desires and therefore is a versatile skill and a great use to alone or as an add on a service to microblading.
The Art Of Shading Unveiled creates a clear understanding to our students about the uses of shading. Shading in the semi-permanent makeup industry is becoming a necessity for artists to learn as it has quickly become a sought after skill.
Shading becomes a necessity when it comes to corrections and working over old tattoo, past microblading and past microblading and shading combinations. Is it is an excellent technique to blend old and new work and to adjust colors and make color corrections.
The Art Of Shading Unveiled is a one day course. Students taking this course will be required to practice to hone their skill after course completion. Like acquiring all new skills, the shading technique will need to be practiced to be developed.
During this course we teach shading styles, structure and techniques using silicone skins that best mimic human skin. We do not provide live models during this course as student must hone their skill first via practice

Dallas Shading Course:
The Art Of Shading Unveiled covers these shading techniques:
Powder Brows
(Deep Shading) A Powder brow brings depth and color consistency from the lower brow line to the top of the brow. As the shading reaches the top, color subsides creating a gradual fade out from bottom to top. The lower brow line is lined, creating a crisp definition between the shaded surface and the unshaded surface.
Ombré Brows
(Deep Shading)Ombré brings depth and color consistency from the tail towards the front of the brow. As the shading reaches the front, color subsides creating a gradual fade out from tail to head. This is considered dark shading and the brow edges are lined, creating a crisp definition between the shaded surface and the unshaded surface.
Microblading and Ombré Shading
(Microblading and Deep Shading) Micro – ombré combines both microblading and deep shading. The front of the brow is defined with strokes. Deep shading is used to define the tail of the brow with the shading gradually getting lighter towards the head of the brow. Ombré shading is dense and opaque and lines are sharp and crisp.
Microblading and Bottom Shading
(Microblading and Shading focused on the lower Line)
Micro – Bottom shading combines both microblading and deep shading from the lower brow line. Deep shading is used to define the lower brow line with shading gradually getting lighter towards the top of the brow.
Microblading and Tail Shading
(Half Microblading and Defined Tail Shading)
Half micro – tail shading combines both microblading and shading. Tail shading can be useful for added drama and definition. In addition, tail shading may be utilized for corrective purposes to merge heavy front eyebrow hair with blank hairless skin.
Microblading and Soft Shading
(Microblading and Soft Shading)
Micro – soft shading combines both microblading and soft shading. Microblading is done over the entire brow. Shading is dusted carefully over the midsection to the tail and is left transparent. Shading outer lines are soft not crisp. This can be a great combo for a mature client.
Microblading and Tail Shading
(Microblading and Defined Dramatic Tail Shading)
Micro – tail shading combines both microblading and shading. Tail shading can be useful for added drama and definition. In addition, tail shading may be utilized for corrective purposes to merge heavy front eyebrow hair with blank hairless skin.
Microblading and Lower Arch Shading
(Microblading and Deep Shading Focused on the Lower Arch)
Micro – lower arch shading combines both microblading and subtle shading. Shading is used to define the lower arch of the brow with the shading gradually getting lighter towards the top of the brow. Lower arch shading is subtle and elegant.
